Bringing memories to life on canvas is my passion. As a result I have been drawing and painting since I was ten years old, studying art in Texas, Arizona, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. After taking a long hiatus to raise a family and pursue a career, I am now once again able to focus on the thing I love best.

I have been commissioned to paint landscapes by both individuals and businesses, and my oil paintings are in private collections throughout Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma. I was accepted into Oil Painters of America (OPA) in February 2006 and have successfully participated in juried art shows in Wimberley, West Texas, and Hilton Head, North Carolina, being named Best in Show in The Wimberley Valley Art League's 2008 spring show. In June of 2008 I was named Artist of the Month at Interior Elements in Wimberley, Texas.

My current paintings represent images that have captured my imagination and my soul during travels in Europe and North America. Believing in slow travel, like Michner, I will hang my hat in a place for several months and explore the wonders each corner of this world has to offer. In an effort to share and preserve these memories, they either immediately, or eventually, find their way to canvas.

When I am unable to take brush in hand and sit before an easel, I turn to pen and paper and create abstract drawings. These drawings have been described by many individuals as both "lyrical," and "music on paper."
